Construction Products Regulation (CPR) ensures consistent information is available for those who need to know by enabling the performance of construction products throughout the EU to be assessed and compared irrespective of the manufacturer or country of origin.
The Approved Cables Initiative recently launched a campaign to highlight the 'CPR' requirements - the results are expressed in a hierarchical series of classes (Aca down to Fca). Please watch the video and access our CPR page.

This document lists various standards for power cables from British Standards (BS), German Standards (DIN VDE) and International Standards (IEC). The BS standards cover specifications for aluminum conductors, PVC and thermosetting insulated cables, overhead power lines, cable terminations and joints. The DIN VDE standards relate to the installation and operation of power systems and specifications for PVC, rubber and silicon rubber insulated cables. The IEC standards specify power cables with extruded insulation and accessories for voltages from 1kV to 30kV as well as hard-drawn aluminum wire for overhead lines.
