The Refuse and Recycling Division provides refuse, recycling, and yard waste collection through a private contractor, Tringali Sanitation. We service over 35,000 single family homes, condominiums, apartments, mobile homes, duplexes, and small commercial businesses on a weekly basis.

Additional Cardboard Drop Off Locations Available:

Beginning Monday, December 9th Troy residents can recycle excess cardboard for free and without an appointment at:
- Boulan Park, Crooks road (available 12/9/24 - end of January )
- Firefighters Park, W. Square Lake Road (available 12/9/24 - end of January )
- Raintree Park, John R (available 12/9/24 - end of January )

- Department of Public Works, Rochester Road (available year round, other materials not accepted)

Dumpsters will be located in the parking lots at the locations listed above and will be emptied as needed. Please break down cardboard boxes as best as possible and only dispose of cardboard - no trash or other materials are being accepted. Troy residents may continue to recycle cardboard at SOCRRA (appointment required). Please call the Department of Public Works at 248.524. with any questions.
