Types of seamless pipe

A seamless steel pipe comes in a wide range of diameters and thicknesses and can be manufactured from carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex and super duplex stainless steel. It also undergoes different treatments such as galvanizing and coating. Moreover, it can be weld overlayed with CRA material (typically UNS N or 316L) to ensure corrosion resistance. • Super duplex steels 25-26% Cr with Mo and N (European designation EN 1.-1.-1.);
• Hyper duplex steels (high alloy duplex stainless steels).

In addition to these groups, duplex stainless steel castings exist (European designation EN 1.). Pipes made in duplex or super duplex are more resistant to corrosive environments, both in highly acidic environments and in caustic environments. Furthermore, they have excellent mechanical strength.

Special large diameter seamless pipe

Large-diameter seamless steel tube is made from hollow forging machined to size. These tubes are designed with good tolerances and are utilized in large-scale piping operations.
